• Holy Crap!

I had an exhaust sitting in my garage that I bought here for over a year now, and I finally decided to install it. Took me two days because the old exhaust and converter was a B_0tch to remove, plus I had to be in work at 2pm each day.

Well, anyways, it's a flowmaster (80 series...I guess) 3" cat-back with magnaflow tips, and that damn thing is friggin L O U D compared to my old dynomax! I can't even hear myself think as it's running! I thought it was gonna be a bit louder than my old one, but I didn't expect this kinda sound.

Don't know if it's gonna last... I wouldn't mind if it was a V8, but the sound of a loud V6 just doesn't do anything for me. It looks great though

I have no idea how to do a sound clip. I have a digital camera that can record in video format, but I don't know how to post it after it's done. Show me how and I'll do it later on today. Gotta go wash and wax it now.

I'd LOVE to swap a V8 into it, but I don't have the space anymore like I had in my old house. I moved from a house that had a 2 1/2 car garage to a house with a 1 car. I had a hard time with the exhaust, let alone another engine!!

Oh, I have a 3" in/out magnaflow converter on it.

Yeah, the I-Pipe I got from you is gone. The 3" pipe is alot louder than I originally thought though, and again, I'm not a real big fan of a loud V6. I'm sure the muffler has to do with most of it. V8 being loud, definately!...not a V6.

I tried to cut the old pipe with a reciprocating saw, but I had cheap blades and went through 4 of them with just one cut. I tried a hacksaw, but couldn't find a good angle to get to it. Went to harborfreight and bought the acetylene/oxygen cutting torch kit and that worked great!

I also cut my old SFC's off while I was down there. My previous garage tore them up pretty good. There was an angle I drove up on to put the car into it, and the SFC's would drag, scrape and get slightly dented on the angle everytime. They weren't in too good of shape anymore, so I got rid of them. New ones coming soon.

I still have it, but it's melted pretty good from the acetylene torch cuts. I was so mad because it wouldn't come loose that I blasted the crap out of it in 3 different places. I got it loose on the first cut, but I had the torch lit and it was fun so I went to town on two more cuts. Just for fun...of course :D

No. I covered any potential hazards with a heavy canvas blanket as I was cutting. Although I did get a few small hot drops of metal on my forehead a few times. Wanna see a white boy dance while lying on his back???? I was all over the friggin place!
