  • SLP FlowPac

I have a question concerning a possible purchase I may be making. I am pondering about buying the SLP FlowPac (25 horse for $254--good deal) but the description says its for the V8. Everything I think is compatable to the V6, except I'm not too sure if the "Smooth Bellows" is. If anyone has any information on why this modification would, or would not work, please let me know.

By the way...I guess I should let you know that I dont have the 96 any more but a 99 3.8, just for reference to my question.
    Thanks Again,

The CAI and K&N are the only things that will work in that kit. The v6 lid has an off center outlet, while the v8 lid has a centered outlet.

Grrrr. Unfortunatly, you're right. Thanks for your reply. I looked at my dad's Ram-Air and my 6 and I found it annoying how they couldn't make those two setups the same. The nice thing with that flowpac deal is that it saves money...and I'm a kid on a budget. Does anyone know if they make this same kit for a 6. I've looked and I cant really find it. I wonder if you could order it and they could just through in everything that was needed to convert to a 6 and take away everything specifically for the 8.
If you have anything further on this, don't be shy. Thanks.

Might be worth it to give them a call and see if they can put together a similar deal for you with their v6 parts..

I was looking at that Flowpac as well for my 1999 3.8. I contacted SLP and Nick Perry responded and said they don't make a comparable "flowpac" for the V6.

As someone mentioned above only the K & N and the CAI would fit your car.

I just bought the SLP CAI and the K & N from them and I orderd the Whisper Lid from Thunder Racing. I just installed these last weekend and am very happy with them.

I orderd the CAI and K & N from Nick Perry over the phone and it was a smooth transaction and Nick sounds like a nice guy. I have seen other people in these forumns speak highly of him as well. If you call and ask for him he should be able to hook you up with the parts you need.
