im getting a really annoying rattle on cold starts. Its not coming from the muffler for sure, but i think its coming from somewhere under the passenger seat section of the car. its only on idle at cold starts. maybe the cat? what do u guys think?

it could be the cat but checked the heat shields for the cat. to check the cat, hit it and listen for rattles when cold

If you bolted your exhaust to your cat the bolts could have become loose...but if that were the case the exhaust would be louder

Mine was rattling too and it was super annoying, sounded nasty and was embarressed for people to hear it. Most told me it was my cat so I replaced it with a high flow cat and now the sound it gone woohoo. I just installed my mid-tube pacesetters with the high flow cat and man, my 01 camaro 3.8L sounds so much better. Hope you fix the rattle problem man us V6 owners stay together hahaha, untill we buy a V8 LOL

it prolly is the cat, get under your car and pound it with a hammer or something similiar see if it rattles, if it does then your cat is dead, get a new one.
it could also be the heat shields, might be comeing loose, and causing the pipes to rattle.
            heat shields or cat.
I will take on all comers...or come on all takers!!! Whichever you prefer.
