What kind of O2 sensors does an '02 3.8 use... 1 wire? heated 3 wire? The second half of the question, if I go from stock to Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust, will I need to convert the 02 sensor to keep it reading correctly? I read somewhere that bigger exhaust systems will cause O2s to read different because of the difference in air flow. I'm not sure of it, so I ask all of you. Thanks in advance.

if you get a cat back designed for the v6 you shouldn't have a problem with passing emissions. Your rear O2 sensor should still read with in limits.
The problem (emissions) happens (but not always) when you convert to A) headers, or B) full 3" exhaust.
The manifold O2 sensors...are at least three wires.
The rear (emissions...post CAT) sensor...um...don't know. I just plugged mine into the new CAT.
Disconect your battery while you install the new cat.
I wouldn't worry about the sim until after you get the new system on. You may not need it.
