whats the difference between 99 and 2000 that the headers wouldnt fit? YOu guys can use our exhaust manifolds...so why wouldnt we be able to use the headers. I just got screwed outta nitrous, and these are a good REBOUND purchase. If only i knew for sure that theyd fit. IM gonna try and give them a call but ive been EXTREMELY busy on my day off.

FYI: Just got off the phone with Pacesetter....

The primaries size will be 1-1/2 inches and the collector size will be 2-1/2 inches.

They HAVE NOT been made yet and the guy on the phone told me it'll be 90-120 days before they're released! However, Pacesetter has released the catalogs with the headers in them so they WILL be made.

So if you add the Y pipe the price of coated comes close to the RKSport ones that are coated. Doesn't seem like a good deal all of a sudden. A custom Y pipe will probaby run over $100. All that measuring and labor hours.

How does that compare to RKSport and that other brand?

But can't you just use the factory Y-pipe? And I like the 1 1/2 primaries, and I guess i'll be happy with the 2 1/2 main tubes.

About how much does it usually cost to install headers on our cars? Will any muffler shop like midas do it? TIA.

i installed mine myself and yes they will work for 2000 cars. I installed the rksport oes in 8 hours. Y-pipe would cost about 75 to 100 if anyone gets let me know i will buy and use rksport y-pipe by the way if you get the uncoated ones get jethot coating it is like 20 bucks more than there coating and jethot runs much colder so it will help perforamnce

Too bad they aren't available right now or else they would be going in my car next week.

I haven't put them in yet. Our car club is planning a DynoDay sometime soon, so I might try and put them in that day.

A Y-pipe here in town costs me $58
Also The RKSport headers aren't coated they are just painted. So you are looking @ $250 for the noncoated and $400 for the coated. Not to bad if you ask me.

RKSport headers are ceramic coated. Where did you hear they are painted?

$450 vs $400(plus labor expensis with Y pipe) is not a big difference all of a sudden. Plus Pacesetters are still unproven.

That's weird. Pacesetter told me that the Y pipe IS included. Here we go again....I'm gonna call em again and make sure.
