striaght pipe?yes/no?

Hey, would it be wise to go straight pipe from my catylitic converter all the way back and out, would this give me more power, and would it sound good or stupid? :rolleyes:

It sounds like $hit on a 3.4, you might get a different pitched $hit sound on a 3.8, but I'd save it for the track.

So your talking about leaving the cat on but putting a pipe from there back and out the back right? Basically taking off the muffler. A friend has a cut out right before the muffler on his otherwise stock exhaust system and he leaves it uncapped all the time. He likes how it sounds. I've not heard it that much because usually I can't hear it over mine when we race. The cut out is the way to go though, power for racing but still able to be stealthy. A electric cut out with a remote on the intrerior is definately how I would do mine if I had it to do over again but I would have put mine before the cat.

no it doesnt. i have dual strait pipes from the cat back and i think it sounds awesome..plus it flows better then any exhaust with a muffler and has proven more Horsepower

I have a 2.5 pipe straight back from the cat I THOUGHT it sounded good until i heard it from outside the car :( it sounds like SH!T sounds nice inside though( too loud for some people ). O and for the power issue i run a 15.2 at 90 w/ 3:08 rear gears but soon as i get some cash i am changing it cause its sounds like CRAP !! [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

If your gonna do it then have them cut off the cat when you do it.
