  • any thing bad about removing the MAF screan?

I was thinking of doing it, what does it include, just cuting the screan out? I dont want to mess it up or anything.

this has ben run into the ground at least 50 times...

in some cars you will see gains, in others you wont..so do it but be carefull you dont damage it incase your cars runs like crap

only downside is rough idle and possibility of sucking contaminents into the motor..

I had that part exposed when I put the wisper lid on and I didnt look at it that well, does the screan unscrew? or do you just use a knife and cut it out?
I am in the process of running a search to see what I can find about this
      sorry

you do not cut it out - it has a circular spring which is squeezing a small rail inside the throttle body - think of an expansion O-ring spring.

You need to take the spring where it has two holes at the bottom and squeeze it together and gently pull it out. Then gently pull out the MAF screen and you're done.
