I thought the "S" pipe went from the I pipe toward the muffler??? At least, that's what I thought I saw when I was under there yesterday. You know, right before this happened. Someone help the exhaust n00bs out.

the S pipe is the "S" right after the cat, catbacks dont come with that part..

I read this awhile back, took me awhile to search it out again, I'd think you could do the same thing with any sized piping. http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...25&t=001750&p= On mine I just cut the original pipe where I needed it then took it to an exhaust shop and had it stretched a bit to fit, temp fix until I get a different cat.

i got the 3 inch u pipe from jegs like that post says. its probably the cheapest way to go. works just fine. i just had to explain a little bit to the exhaust shop when i handed it over, they were a bit confused.

I found out the hard way after I already ordered the 3" cat.
              (2) 45 degree Stainless Steel bends from SLP - $70 ...
              Borla (NOT really a cat back) Cat-back - $625 ...
The ability to p_ss the neighbors off when they p_ss you off ... priceless

The shop should have 90 degree bends that they can weld together. I believe SLP also sales aluminized 45 degree bends. The shop had to increase the bends to 60 degrees before they would fit. But (2)60 degrees is much less pressure drop than (2) 90 degrees
