Can I take one off a T/A or a Z28/SS and use it for my exhaust?
I noticed out of the cat we have a weird looking S-pipe into the I-pipe...if I do use a larger I-pipe will I have to have a new S-bend pipe fabricated to make it all fit?

That is correct. The 2.5" is alot cheaper too, so if you wanna go that route, you can. The muffler shop will have to cut em down and cut a hole to weld in the 02 bung. If they say it can't be done, they're full of BS and just lazy.
depending on the year z28/ta you get the i pipe from you might be able to the the s-pipe as well. thats what i'm doing, 95 and below v8's had only 1 cat, so they have an s-pipe like us. 96+ have 2 cats, so there isn't an s-pipe.
