Did my friend ruin my tb spacer please help

My dumba** friend took my tb spacer and drilled out the hole so the coolant can get through, like stock. well he made another spacer and put them together so its like a 1" spacer. I told him hes wasting his time and he insists my power will go up because of a 1" spacer. I said since he has the hole drilled he just defeated the purpose of having a tb spacer, he said that the reason my intake gasket blew was because of the tb spacer i had didnt have the hole drilled for the coolant to ge through, i think he is wrong. did he basically ruin the purpose of me having a tb spacer by drilling the hole out so the coolant can get through, even though it is a 1" spacer? all opinions welcome one more thing, if i took jb weld and blocked the hole like i think it should be like a regular spacer would it get to hot and blow the jb weld out? thanks

yea totaly ruind the point of having it.. the coolant heats up the TB causeing better fuel economy and **** thats the point of the coolant to get there... the the spacer stops it and keeps the thing coolerby not letting it touch the engine or any thing get to the tb, so your friend is an idiot and you should kick him in the jimmy
