  • Just orderes a Cutout from Summit!!

Today i sent in a money order for a 2.5'' cutout from summit. How long should it be till i receive it? Cant wait to get it, and get it on!

Im planning on putting it after the cat before the rear axle i think its called the I pipe if im not mistaken??

And i should point the opening of the cut out to the ground?

Someone correct me if the above info is not right.

I ordered mine from summit. It only took about 3 days to get to my house. I put mine after the cat and I'm glad I did cuz I can keep it open all the time and it's not too loud.

How long does it take you to cap/uncap the cut out?

Do you have to jack it up in order to cap/uncap the cut out? My car is stock height and i was just wondering if i would have to jack up my car in order to access the cut out.

How much did it cost you to have it welded on?

Mine to have welded was like 40-50 buck i think and i could just reach under the car and change it. I have got rig of my cutout since then but it was really easy to change.

Yeah its easy to get to it with out jacking up the car. Takes about 45 sec to open it up. I have pics in my sig, they should help answer any other questions you have.

When i go to get my cut out installed which way should the opening of the cut out point towards? The passenger of the drivers side?

its a 3.4 car by the way

My cutout only cost me $20 to install but the guy gave me a good deal. You can uncap it and cap it pretty quick without jacking up the car. You just gotta get on the ground and reach.

If you put it along the i-pipe, get them to point it towards the passenger side of the car. #1 because the fuel lines are towards the driver side, and personally, I don't want that hot exhaust air blowing all over them when I'm idling. #2 then it'll be easier to reach. And yeah, it cost me $40 for the one on my old V6. The same place charged me $45 when I got one put on my T/A... o well.
