I was wondering if the K&N FIPK is worth the $250. I have a 94 3.4 A4 with a Flowmaster and thats it. K&N says it would gain about 20 hp. For those of you that own one, did you notice a big gain in power and performance?

It's up to you but you could get the SLP CAI for about $50 less and it's stainless steel, the K&N is plastic (i think). Just my .02

Can you send me a link so I can see the SLP CAI. Is the K&N better or the SLP? Only other mod I have is Flowmaster 80 series. If I go with K&N FIPK, what would be best for a next mod? Is there anything I can get that would make a big increase in power?2003 Nissan 350Z Touring Coupe, Daytona Blue, Frost leather interior, navigation, 18 inch wheels, M6, fully loaded, intake, crank pulley.

Previous cars:
1991 Mustang (347)
2002 RS Camaro
1985 IROC-Z (305)
1994 Camaro convertible V6

I just got my FIPK installled... it wasn't that easy as others said... took me about 30 mins with my body in the shop. you have to get under the car and remove lots of components... pain in the A$$...after the installaion, i felt little increase not as much as i expected. maybe results varies. but anyways, if you have the money to blow, go for it. just a reminder, you can't install that kit by yourself, a friend must be there to help ya out. good luck man. :DTECHNOBETSY

I know the FIPK has one of those million mile lifetime filters on there. What's on SLP's intake? Is that an oil bath type filter? I like the look of SLP's CAI, but I never want to have to buy another filter.\'94 Camaro 3.4
\"No, Starvin Marvin. That\'s my pot pie.\"

I just ordered my SLP intake and am waiting for it. I really had to weigh both intakes but I went with the SLP because it is stainless and was about $100 cheaper. To me, the filters aren't an issue as long as they filter out the junk.
Anyone have an install advice for the SLP (I have a 1996).
