  • Wisper lid :::::INSTALLED!

    There has been a lot of posts about wisper lids lately so I figured I would report how it feels.
    My car is pretty much stock except for a K&N filter and the FRA mod.
    I did not feel that much at the pedel but it did feel more responsiven and had a much better exhaust tone and when the RPM's were over 2500 it didnt sound as raspy, kinda had a cool sound to it.
    I hope this little but helps with some of the Confusion out there, the only piece I had a problem with is keeping the metel clips down in the front so I have to look at it more tomorrow.

      I had the same problem at first, it turned out to be that the whisper lid wasn't lined up properly. I fixed that, and both snap and stay down nice and snug. Hope this helps.

        What ya gotta do to make it lock down is push the lid as far back as possible. BUt the tabs into the slots and push it back as far as that bugger will go. then snap it down. It should stay nice and tight after that.

          Be sure the airlid LIP is BEHIND the airbox lip and it will fit VERY snuggly and wont pop loose.

            Yeah, it's the most common mistake with the Whisper lid. You have to push it backward so the front lip of the Lid goes INSIDE the front lip of the lower section of the stock airbox. Almost everyone tries it the wrong way first and the clips pop off. Be careful not to force them too much or you will crack the Lid.

              an easier method is just to buy one of those metal band things but instead of a clip it has a screw at the end that when u tighten the band gets smaller and smaller theyre only 60 cents at the local hardware store.
