First off will it work on a 3.8 ? Second, is it worth getting ?

96 Firebird 3.8<br />SLP CAI, MSD DIS ignition, NGK plugs, Flowmaster exhaust, Accel extreme 9000 wires, 160 thermo, air temperature module, SLP 3300 stall converter, SLP shift improvement module, SLP strut tower brace and a whole lot of sanding to polish anything aluminum under my hood to make it look like chrome. -
Yes 3.4liters have a different method but us. We have a little gasket type thing we put in there so the coolant won't flow to that part so the warm coolant wont heat up the airflow. It probably costs under $10 for the gasket and a little time to do. It's worth it if one of your goals is to keep your car as cool as possible. It probably won't add any performance as far as I know just help you gain it by cooler air. I think it's worth it. I also seen some kind of cable blocking it that you can move back a little bit I think. Not sure on that one. Maybee a couple of people that have done this can help better then I can.
