  • Getting ready to buy cat-back/high flow cat...want to make sure i'm not screwing up

I'm getting this, and a 3inch in/out high flow cat....any problems? Or stuff i should look into? Performance comes first...than sound (unless it sounds real ricey...don't want that)

I get paranoid when i'm about to buy something more than $100 bucks.

The only problem you might have is the SES light coming on due to the highflow cat. It's 50/50 chance.

I had a problem with the SES light with my high-flow cat. But it was nothing a O2 sim didn't fix.

I run the edlebrock cat back.
I also only have a 2.5 inch in and out high flow cat.
My personal opinion is 3 inch is too big

          I have a full 3" exhaust w/ a catco cat

lost some lowend torque, yes, but pulls very well in the higher rpms. You don't really lose the torque, it just gets moved higher up in the rpm range.

I did use an O2 simm, which did set off an SES light, but I cleared it & have seen no sign of it coming back.

From what I've read, after the headers, you can't really go too big... the torque doesn't dissapear or get lessened in any way... the power just evens out throughout the RPM range and gives more power overall... you probably don't feel the torque as well because when you punch it there isn't as much as a difference.
