02 V8 exhaust on 02 V6

I am not familiar with the exhaust system on V6 cars. Where is the cat on a 02 V6 Firebird? Is it after the Y-pipe? I am wondering if it would be easy to put an exhaust from an 02 SS on a 02 V6 Firebird? Can anyone help me?

Yep, the cat is right after the Y pipe and a 02 SS catback WILL fit on a 02 V6. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

Yes, but in 01 and 02 they cat grew smaller.

You'll just be connecting the SS exhaust to the S pipe coming off the single cat rather than the Y pipe off the LS1. It will work fine [img]smile.gif[/img]

The location of the cat on all F-bodies has remained the same for at least 20 years... any exhaust made for any camaro/firebird in the last 20 years will fit with minor adjustments to the hangers.
