EXACTLY. You want your exhaust as free flowing as possible. Thats y all drag cars run open headers, ect.

I put the bird on the dyno
We all know all cars are slightly different
I have a 3 inch cut out located after the cat but before the exhaust goes over the rear..
I juiced on the dyno
Cut out cap open 282 rwhp and 335 rwtq
Cut out cap closed 291 rwhp and 362 rwtq
Above 4000 rpm's it is very ricey!!
v8's it sounds good, v6's no.

how loud is it, caus ei was thinking of getting one of those electric ones that open and close with a switch. I loved the loud exhuast on my old camaro, but it did get annoying when talking on the cell, or trying not to wake the neighbors late at night. So i was thinking to get a cutout so I will have stock quiet ehuast when I want it and open up when I want to show off. SO how loud is it?

And, with our computers like they are, do you need to run the car with the cutout open for a while (an hour or so, 1/2 a day, so they computer will recognize it) to get the most benefit out of it, or can you just open it up at the track and go?

I love mine, and the g/f hates it. Loud as hell, but thats what I wanted. I split time with it open and closed. Can't tell if it adds power yet b/c I need a new clutch. But I love it.

ive heard from a friend that with a cutout closed he lost torque..he placed it on the i pipe close to the cat..

i want to place mine before the rear axle but if im going to lose torque from it when it is closed i will pass the up a cut out
