Magnaflow/Carsound #94109 3 inch in/out

Sound: I'd say it increased the volume %40-%50 no joke! The car is much louder and deeper. The rasp and pop are gone! Sounds really good at all RPM ranges unless of of you free rev up to 5K or something stupid like that. Even then, it doesn't sound bad Has a really deep gurgling sound at idle. The perforance gains are there, but mininal of couse since my OEM cat my not clogged. Seemed to slightely raise the torque curve, but I can still peel out as easy if not easier than before. Bottom line is that you need to get a high flow cat if just only to rid yourself of embarassing rasp and pop . Sounds awesome. PS. If I can get my brother to let me borrow the laptop I'll try to post some clips.

Congratulations. I really need to rework my exhaust all together. It will be in a month I think, but it will be my next mod. Im looking at 2 high flow cats before where the Y pipe joins. Headers, and a nice cat back after that.

Okay you got me wondering now...i just installed a Catco 3" high flow cat and 3" pipes from the cat back to an 80 series flowmaster muffler with dual 3" tipes and i still get that nasty rasp sometimes. Most the time it just sounds great (and oh so LOUD) but the rasp really bothers me. How should i go about getting rid of it??

I have computer tuning also, and that make a big difference in sound.
