Hey, I'm planning on getting a ram air system in about a month or so and wanted to know which was better performance wise. I'm looking at either the super sucker, the fast toys, or possibly the SLP. I did a search but didn't turn up anything. I'd appreciate any and all input you guys (or ladies) have.
Thanks,
Rob

I like the FTRA its mildly priced but you have to do some cutting (easy if you have graduated from pre-school) the SLP is nice too but waaaay pricey. Umm get the FTRA everyone has it pretty much hehe. Either that or do the FRA (free ram air) its free but not as effective as the FTRA.
i'd say get the FTRA. it's designed to get more air than the slp. the SSRA would be great, except u run the chance of ripping it off the nose of the car, especially if u lower it. it's also 250 bucks compared to 170 for the ftra. i'm gonna try 2 get my ftra put on this saturday, if my buddy doesn't get stuck w/ a bunch of work, cuz it helps if u have 2 people put on the intake.

Cool, thanks for the suggestions guys. I was planning on getting a lid/filter/intake combo, I just wasn't sure on the intake. Looks like I'm getting the FTRA.

You guys forgot about the whisper ram air kit (WRA) from tbyrne. It has the ram air and block-off plates like the FTRA, but cheaper.

I just raised my airbox... $15 - works fine No nasty filter either, plenty of power, cooler running engine (no blockage or short circuit in the airflow, cools down a lot faster without it compared with my 2000 bird).
I ran worse with the raised box i ytook it out and started runnin about .1 better

So does anyone know if the FTRA is better than the whisper one or if they're about equal? If the FTRA's better, I'm gonna get one this week (GP in the sponsor area). If not, I'll just go with the whisper one. aaagghhhh!!! tooo many decisions!!!
