• 2.8L 87 Firebird Headers? Any out there?

I've been wanting to upgrade my headers for a while now and i cant find any headers to fit on my 87 2.8l firebird. Who has the best for more toque and lower backpressure? Also if they can be found for under $300 tell me where.

2.8L heads and 3.4L heads are the same so the Pacesetter or RKSport headers will work fine. As far as being able to use either Y-pipe, I dunno. I can almost guarantee that you will have room in the engine bay though.

So if 3.4 headers fit then what would be the best for under $400 or what is the best out there and where can i get them?

4th gen 3.4 headers will fit the heads, BUT, must be heated & bent to clear the firewall. I got some headers from Ccamaro_Hunter_C from over @ the www.thirdgen.org site, V6 section. cost me $150. haven't put them on yet, but then I'm currently sportring open manifolds . There is someone else at that site also selling headers, but I think they're arond $350-375ish. either way will need a custom Y-pipe. The old Hooker/Headman ones that pop up from time-to-time, may fit the f-body, but not if you have a stick.

no point adding headers. my friend has that same car he is looking to gain 4 hp from them.

What kind is he getting? Will headers change the sound of the exhaust? If it is only 4hp gain then they may not be worth the money.
