  • RKSport Flanges?

I know they're 2 bolt... how thin are the flanges on the headers themselves (not the Y)? Are they thick enough there? If not how much does it cost to weld on new good ones?

    How thick are the flanges.....
No more than 1/4 inch thick.

How much does it cost to have new ones welded on.
Well, it is really easy to just cut the 2 bolt ones off and weld on 3 bolt versions. If they are not on the car very cheap and easy.
If they are on the car then I would suggest having 6-12 inch long pipes welded to the header flange and then just extend down to the y pipe and make a new weld there

yes the RKSPORT flanges are very thin and will not work. I had mine modified. Took them off the car and had the exhaust shop cut off the existing flanges and weld up some new 3 bolt style flanges. Cost $30. I then took the car to the exhaust shop with the headers on the car and they had to cut and weld new flanges on my Y pipe and make little modification to my Y pipe to make it fit right. Cost $60. Total cost for modified Y pipe and 3 bolt flanges $90. Now I might have overpaid for this kind of a job but I was in a bad time crunch and they did good work. I wish I could take some pics to show you what they did.
