  • Almost done putting SLP cold air in

Well i took out all the old stuff not to big of deal. I tried different ways of getting it in but i eventually just put the elbow on the tubing then worked it in and got it into the postion. Getting the elbow on the engine was kinda annoying but all i have to do is jack the car up and put the filters on through the bottum since i didnt want to bash the filters trying to get them in that small space.

The MAF i put into the tubing seems to be in all the way execpt a glimsh of the blue still out but i dont think it will matter.

The only thing that sucked is i kinda skinned the painting on the tubing :{. No big Deal i just wnat to get it work.

    Any Comments or suggetions?

yeah i had the same problem with the filters, i think from below is the only way you can do it. and i scratched the paint on mine a bit too, i'm not sure there's much way around it. it's a pita to get on, but it's worth it, i love driving with the window down and hearing the sucking air sound it makes :D

well i got the filters on today. stupid thing is i sued a 3/8 socket wrench to take a first of the first screws of some of panel and it worked fine, but then the rest it woulnt fit. Noithing would so i had to use a creasent wrench for the rest. I don't think all the screws were stock but o well. I started the car and it didnt even throw a light i was surpised, but i have to wait to spring to drive it lol. But it sounds deeper now reeving it. Sound great with my american thunder( i have new one with resinator so i dont get the reaspy sound) I cant wait for spring :D

Do you still use the stock MAF? You don't have to get a new one do you? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I just ordered a CAI and I'm just making sure...
