Okay....curently i have headers, borla cat back, ram air, whisper lid, msd wires, and air temp module. Now that being said i want to install a performance cat converter. What I have read you need to at least have 50,000 miles or it won't pass cal smog. Next, question would i lose low end torque because the way my exhaust system is . Help me because I want to know what should I do.

read about exhaust in the modification encyclopedia http://mods.firebirdv6.com/intakeexhaust.html
I highly doubt you will loose torque unless you ran without any exhaust96 Camaro 3.8 A4 Basemodel: 8 mm wires, Shift Kit, Hollowed
Cat(o2 sims), RKSport exhaust, IAT 5.6K resistor, Home Depot CAI
>>>15.375 @ 89.27<<<NEW BEST TIME http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/552491

I have never heard about the cat or car needing 50,000 miles in order to pass smog with a high flow cat converter...Sinister Six©
My \'95 Bird
I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.

If im not mistaken i'll assume you're talking about a law that some states have where you can't change you're cat until you have reached or surpassed 50K miles, and no i've never heard of anyone losing torque w/ a high flow, but wouldn't you gain more back pressure since you'll have more crap blocking you're exhaust passage ways, id say gut you're cat but you're in Cali and i don't think thats a good idea with all the emmisions stuff you guys have just my .02---Niño---
95\' silver 5 spd

FEderal Law prevents you from changing your cat if the original has less than 50,000 miles. If the cat becomes damaged in that time you must take it to a dealer to get it changed out for another OEM one. However, there are many exhaust shops that don't seem to care.Matt
2000 Firebird

FullThrottleV6.com
