• hi-flow cat question:

On my 96 3.8, how much gain am I looking to get from a Hi-Flow Cat?
And does anyone know of a decent brand, where to get it, and price?

CATCO at Summit for $55.00. You not going to see much gain from just changing the CAT. You'll need the Full Cat Back as well to garner any real gain

That's a good deal for a Cat! I already have a Cat-Back Exhaust with a Dynomax Muffler. Anyone else have the CATCO from Summit?

I have the 2.5" one. No problems. No more rattling in the exhaust. Didn't realize that it was my cat.

Suggestion (if im wrong someone tell me) Pull the car on ramps and disconnect the pipe after the cat. Get someone to race the motor after it is warm and beat on the cat with a hammer (everything inside will come out. Then reconnect everything so you dont have to drob a few bills on a high flow cat. If you live in a state with emissions testing, go to the yard and get a used cat to put on once a year for the test.
95 3.4 - Custom cold air with k&n, throttle body cooling system, 3.73, 3\" pipe after cat to raven with twin tips, All poly sway bushings, IAT resistor <br />Mods to come - Headers, high flow cat, high flow fuel rail, pump, and injectors.
