Help with mod

can somebody give me instructions on how to do the home depot mod on the air silencer? also what are the advantages of this.

I'll answer the second part:

Pros:
1)A more free-flowing intake for more power
2)Better throttle response
3)Can clean up the engine bay

rip out the air silencer, cut yourself a 5-6" piece of 3.5 or 4" diameter PVC pipe, stick it between the two hoses from the airbox and throttle body, clamp in place, start car, and go have fun! [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

just get a whisper lid

If you plan on getting a tb spacer, the whisper lid wouldn't be a bad idea. As badly as i hated to, I just got one after the spacer install because moving the tb forward kind of "pinched" the rubber bellow I had in there.

If you are cheap like me though you wont be dissapointed with the HD mod. You will deffinately notice a change in you engine noise, its a good sound though :D and maybe some throttle response. Its not a huge gain but its cheap.
