• For anyone wondering about gains with FRA

Ok so at the track last night I did a little bit of testing. It wasn't ideal by any means...

You may know that I built an aluminum plate (no, I didn't just cut a square of aluminum, it has some bends in it and some electrical tape on it ;) ) to block the FRA to keep the filter cleaner/dryer when I want to. I did most of my runs last night with the plate out. For one run Evan convinced me to put it in and see what would happen. So I put it in and basically lost about 2 tenths and 1 mph from my previous run, with near idential 60' times. I went to run again with the plate out to see if i would regain the time, but I spun and got a 3s 60' and a 16.7s 1/4 Then I decided that was enough for one night.

Your sig is too long. You need to reduce the number of lines, ESPECIALLY since you have no mods except the edelbrock and "ghetto x 5" intake"

Oh yeah, and I would burn you, as Evan said.
How does that rock your panties?

I laughed when I saw that pic, then became quite disturbed......glad to hear the FTRA can give you gains though, because I'm looking to get one.

Whoa, hold on a minute. Let's not get confused. This was not a test of the Fast Toys Ram Air mod. This was a trial to see how much the Free Ram Air mod affects performance.

I do not have FTRA or any comparable mod.

the Fast toys ram air would simply just add on to the performance level of the free ram air..the free ram air is an awesome mod but the air comes off the radiator..the ftra has its own scoop so its much more efficient and effective

Agreed. That's why the aluminum flashing is sitting in my trunk. Maybe I'll build the scoop sometime
