I was wondering with my stock lid...until i have to money to get a whisper, could i run some type of rubber hose or something from the lid directly to the TB, so i can get rid of that big huge air silencer...? Im just not sure since the lid opening is an oval with the TB is a circle, hose would have to be pretty stretchable or something. If so what are the widths or whatever of that hose.

im sure it could work if you find the right type of tube but what i think you need is a high flow induction elbow. what year is your car? do a search for elbows and see what comes up. check this link out, hope it helps and if im wrong guys correct me.

I've heard of people using the 3" pipe, but I used a piece that is 4" at one end and 3" at the other, I forget what it's called, but I got it at Home Depot. Take a dremel tool, or a knife and sand paper, and cut out the little step inside it (you'll see what I mean), and sand the rest of the step and the lip of the 4" part as much as you can. Basically, get it as smooth as you can. Then, you'll need a 5" hose clamp and a 4" hose clamp. The 4" end of the pvc goes on the airlid side (fits perfectly).
The only problem I have with it is that the PVC bends out of shape over time, so you'll need to take it out once in a while and rotate it 90*, and re-tighten the clamps.
Also, make sure you get the clamps on tight the first time, or the pvc piece will slip out.Wife and a dog, they both think they\'re Kujo.

1999 3.8 A4 Y87
Navy Blue Metallic
BFG G-Force KDWS 275/40/17s,
WS6 Wheels (17x9)
Phoenix Transmissions 2400 Stall Converter
FRA, Holley Powershot filter, Whisper Lid, Ported Throttlebody
2000 manifolds, Flowmaster, WS6 Tail Pipes,
MSD 8.5mm Wires, MSD Coils, Autolite plugs
Performance Cryogenics treated rotors
1LE Sway Bars and panhard rod, 1LE front springs w/SLP Bilsteins, stock rear springs w/ 3rd Gen Bilsteins, BMR STB, KBDD SFCs, 1LE rear lower control arms, 1LE front lower control arms
1968 Chevelle Malibu 327 TH350
