I want to put in my 160* stat while I'm home for break but I heard on the '02s you need a resistor to keep the PCM from freakin out. Where can I get one and where does it even go once I do get it?

If the 3.8L sencors are like the older ones being 2 million Ohms (@ room temp), you could get a 10-20 Ohm resistor from radio shack and put it in series with one of the wires going to or from your temp sencor.
The older sencors + a 10 ohm sesistor will throw the sencor off by about 20'F warmer than it realy is.\'85 Z28, T-tops new LG4 and TH700
\'85 3.4L 5-speed
mods: http://www.cardomain.com/id/oil_pan_4 the nitrous exhaust O2 safety, pg 3.
Areo space materal engineer wantabe

You need an 18K ohm resistor. See Dominic's Site.

I tried emailing him but got nothing back so far :( The site is good for the install except all it does is mention that I need a resistor, it doesn't describe exactly what to do with it. Call me slow, but when it comes to electrical gizmos I don't wanna be doing the old guess and check and fry my PCM!2002 Black Firebird:
A4, Y87, W68, T-tops
Best NA ET: 15.16 @ 90
http://members.cardomain.com/darksde02

Okay-- go here: Install University. On the left of the page click on Install Documents and then on the new page and under the topic Computer/Diagnostics click on IAT Timung Tricker.
This will give you a step by step procedure for installing the resistor. Granted, the example uses a V8, but the procedure is the same for the V6.2001 Camaro M5 Coupe(1 of 2,737), no options, Whisper Lid, K&N Air Filter, Free Ram Air, MAFS Screen removed, SLP Manual Fan Switch, 160 thermo, DEE\'s T/B Spacer, EGR Block-off plate, IAT resistor, CAI to EGR air feed, B&M Ripper Shifter, SLP Replacement Grill, T/A Exhaust, SLP five spoke take-off wheels, BMR strut-tower brace, BMR Tunnel Brace, BMR 32/21 front & rear sway bars with poly, BMR Poly/Combo Rear Control Arms, Clear front & rear corners, HPP3 modified 87 Octane program.
http://www.cardomain.com/id/red2k1
