  • U-Bend S-pipe?

I just read this in some posts. What exactly is this?

That is where a few people are getting a JC Whitney U bend pipe, cutting it in half, slipping 1 half over and welding it back together to form an "S-Pipe"...........I've never actually seen or done it but from the posts I'd say it works pretty well as an S-Pipe

Anyone got any pictures or the part number for this? Is it better than getting 2 45 deg pipes?

I don't have any pictures, but I just did it about 2 weeks ago. It is actually a part from Jegs, all you do is cut it right in the middle of the U and then flip one end around so it looks like an S and weld that together.

If you do a search you can find the part #. I can send you a link to the post I got my part # for but I'll have to get it to you later.

It may or may not flow better but it only cost abot $25 as opposed to $50 or more for the 2 45s

This is the post I went off of and it worked great, if you have any questions feel free to email me. I basically did the cut and welded it at home then handed it to the muffler guy to put on the rest of the system. Saved a little labor

                So you got the
CTO-2517 Catco cat and it already has the O2 fitting on it already?

Can you get the U-pipe from summit also?

I got the CATCO 6007 cause the other one was out of stock. I had to buy the cat from summit and the U-pipe from Jegs cause summit doesn't sell it.
I had the bung welded in from the old pipe.
