I just had flowmaster 80 series put on my firebird. Although it is louder it sounds ricey at higher rpms. Is there anything I can do to get a deeper tone.

You could get a whisper lid. That usually deepens the tone a bit and takes away some of the raspyness at high rpms.

Give the Flowmaster a little time to break in and you will tell that the sound will change. Also, an intake will help as well as a high flow cat or headers of course.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

flowmasters take a little while to break in. until then, whisper lid, removed maf screen, ram/cold air intake, headers, 3" in/out cat. You could also put a resonator in your i-pipe. it smoothes the sound out some and make it a little less throaty at lower rpm's, but it takes care of a lot of the riceyness at higher rpm's. of course, getting hot rockers(self adjusting rockers), heaqd/cam, and a turbo or sc will make it sound a lot different, but that's going overboard for just a sound, unless you're doing for the power you'll get too.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

WS6 or Z28/SS tail pipes.
