another question i have is that my air intake on my 3.8 makes a sucking sound(almost like it isn't getting enough air) while the car is not moving. Don't know if it is making it while car is in motion. I was wondering if that is normal or if there is something i can do to give it more air?
---For example take some type of tubing and run it from behind my front ground effect to underneath my filter---
Do you have an SLP cold air intake because thats what i have and it does the same thing. With mine, it sounds like it is sucking air when i first start it up but after i drive around or rev it for a while, the sound quiets down a bit and does not seem as loud. As of what you can do, i am not sure, maybe open up area where the air comes in or install on of those air catcher things that goes under your car to direct air into the intake. I think, that is if you have an intake similiar to mine, that the air is just swirling around in the tube which causes the noise. I think it is probably getting enough air. Hopes this helps.
It's normal. I think this happens when you remove the air silencer from the stock box. I've never had one on there when I got my car, but it makes sense to me that is why it was put on.
yes, the only reason you dont hear this normally is because of the air scilencer that came on the restrictive stock intakes. its just the sound of the air being sucked up.
yours may suck but under acceleration does it whistle like a s/c? =)

Yes actually it does right now, but it is not the intake. At first I thought it was the alternator which it does whine a little bit but isn't the problem. Including a few of my other friends who have Fbodys and make the same sound as mine, we beleive it to be something with the powersteering, maybee the pump or the pulley, I haven't got around fixing mine.
