It looks like it connects to the computer on one end and the O2 sensor on the other end. But I'm not too sure on what happens to the O2 sensor - where does it go? Back in the bung or can it just be wrapped up and tied away somewhere?

I thought it connects to the computer. If it doesn't plug right into the comp how is the sim attached?

It connects to the wire where the o2 sensor used to. Your sensor has a short wire with a connector. This matches a connecter on a wire under the car. The sensor goes away. You plug the sim into the connector under the car. Mine sits above the exhaust, next to the trans.
If you do trip a code couldn't you just use a resistor instead of a sim to make the computer think your running lean after the cat (a low voltage indicates the mixture is lean right?)So couldn't a resistor do it - say 100k? I'm just not too sure on which wires. I read an article that said to splice black and purple with white stripe but I'm not sure what make of car this was - anyone know what colors the wires are on the 02 sensor?
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
