  • Soundclip/video of my new exhaust

    Here it is.
It may take a little bit to upload, but it does work. I still think it's a bit too loud for a V6. I don't like the raspy sound as it's decelerating.

Kinda sounds like too much of something. Hard to describe, but something just doesn't sound right when you rev.

Well, I listened to it again, and I take it back, it sounds kinda nice, maybe just some echo in the tight space you are in (small garage).

sounds pretty good it sounds weird when you rev and let off, like it just stops and returns to idle. this is a v8 flowmaster setup right?

Yes. I am thinking of getting resonators for the tips. I really don't want to cut the tips off, but I really don't like the sound of it decelerating either. Caught between a rock and a hard place...

WHen I had that really high raspy sound I took it back to my buddy and he put a Dual glass pack on it actually called it a reverse glass pack and it toned it down and made it sound a whole lotttttt better I'll try to get a sound clip for ya. Made it sound alot meanier and less like rice at high rpms actually more of a rumble at high RMPS might want to give that a try man

LOL would be a Negative ghostrider.. If i sat there and took pics my friend would probably break my camera.. But if you visit your local muffler shop and ask them what I explained above i'm sure they'll know what your talking about. ANd it shouldnt cost very much money takes probably 30mins to do if that. My friend put it near the driveshaft but it doesnt hit or anything so no worries. I'll be under the car tomorrow its up in the air now doing some work I'll get a few pictures for ya to give you an idea on what to do but i'm telling you it reallly did help get rid of that nasty High RPM rice sound.. All I gotta say is my buddy KNOW'S HIS S**T

Marc, get a dynomax thrush glasspack/resonator. I just got one for my car, it was like 20 bux at summitracing.com . Its a slip fit so it will go in with a couple of clamps.

Would you recommend that, over a dynomax bullet? It is cheaper, but I will have stock piping into a 40 series muffler.

Yes I would, I bet it works better and its cheaper. Better as in noise control not flow.
