As long as you don't push her past 2k rpm it sounds good...but uh, guys...don't fool yourselfs past that....it only really sounds good with out a muffler at idle.

one thing about the !muffler mod....you can almost always hear the exhaust note/drone. i love it, most of the ladies don't :D i can even hear mine while i have my system cranked to the max, even with my JL10W3...it ain't quiet....5+hour trips give me a headache.

lol I drove from austin to lubbock.. 380miles without the muffler didn't have a problem. I've also gotten alot of compliments about how my car sounds at the moment as long as I let the cat heat up before I start going WOT. I haven't had a problem with it sounding like crap once it warms up.

Now cut off the cat!!! All the cool people are doing it :D I ran an open Y pipe once. It sounds like a dragster at idle and a hooptie under throttle. I don't suggest that.

Seriously, I was forced to run open y pipe before and it's not a pretty site. (My catco became clogged to the point there I couldn't drive my car anymore). You'd probably save more money buying a cutout rather then chopping off your whole muffler, but some people have to learn the hardway. You think you got lucky passing the cops without your muffler on. Try convincing the cop why you got a muffler hanging off your freakin y pipe, lol. But... Have fune while you got it off.

Only reason I cut it off is because I'm redoing my entire exhaust. Pacesetter headers and y-pipe, highflow magnaflow 3"cat and 3" all the way.. haven't decided on the muffler yet. Plus I have no muffler or tips under my car.. the exhaust path stops just before the rear axle.
