  • Clogged Cat?

My car started to act funny again today. When I get on it at about half-open throttle, I hear a sputter from the exaust and my car is jumpy; jumpy in terms of it gets power and then lets go, it gets power and then lets go, it gets power and lets go, all happening really fast. I have an aftermarket flowmaster muffler and am on my third stock catalytic converter. But before when the cats became clogged, it was like my car was running on half of its horsepower. Could this be a spark plug problem perhaps (almost 90K and they have never been changed)? Please help me with some thoughts, I would appreceiate them. Thanks.

Is it throwing any codes? The PCM is pretty sensitve to the p0300 code which is misfire. I'd check the fuel filter. What brand of cat's have you been thru?

what year car do you have slow6? if its a 2000 or newer it a lot easier to change the plugs because you have tubular manifolds. The log style manifolds from earlier years are just a ***** and are not easier than v8s imo.
