Anyone have the American Thunder system on their V6 car? Do you know what is the correct part number for a 2000 Firebird? Is it different from the V8 system? I got a quote for $425 installed, does that sound reasonable? Thanks!

There are 3 differen't types of AT systems you can use on your car. The 1st one is designed for an LT1 (There is also a dual cat system for the LT1s), the 2nd one is designed for an LS1, and the 3rd is designed for our V6s. The LT1 system is a 3inch going into a 2.5inch outlet muffler with 2.5inch tails. The LS1 system is a 3 inch system going into a 3inch outlet muffler with 3inch tails. And the V6 system is a 2.5inch system that has a resonator included. If you want to go 3inch the LT1 system of LS1 system will work, but they need to do a little modification to get the S pipe onto the cat, (remember the LS1 is harder to do since it had dual cats). But if you want the 3 inch muffler outlets the LS1 is for you. But IMO The exhaust gasses expand after the muffler so it really makes no difference, especially if you put 3.5inch tips on or something.
