New headers are they really worth it?

Hey, for the last few months i have reading up on pacesetter headers. For those of you who have them, would you say that they were worth it. Some say that there is a noticable sound and power difference, while others say not much has changed. Also, how much work are they to put in, and how about how long did it take you. I am really thinking of getting them, or do you guys think i should my money into something else. Thanks for all of your help.

i'm a bit curious about this too. any dyno ## from anyone at all? i know it'd be better on a forced induction car, but would it even be worth it for an n/a car?

They make the car sound much deeper, it has been described as a growl sound. Performance wise they are one of the best bang for the buck upgrades on the market. Excpect to see 10-15hp at the wheels. As for installation, it is an absolute *****. It takes all day for 2 experienced people to install them. Check out the mod review section for more details.

if u want I can go dyno my car.. have pacesetter headers and open ypipe right now... as apose to my last dyno that was just 80 series flowmaster exhaust wise.

sound was a little deeper, cant really tell if any hp gain. it took me and a buddy about 12 hours to put them on...thats counting about 2 hours worth of breaks, and running around trying to find a auto parts store that was open at 8:30 pm on new years eve(it was about 30 miles away)raised the car with jack stands, cut the exhasut with a hacksaw, and used sockets and wrenches. so over all, it wasnt that awful. but be prepared for it to take a while. i would say that it was worth it....hope this helps you

It was well worth it...and i agree with everything 1997redchevy was saying...about running aroud trying to find a parts store open...and 12 hours for install and such. But I did notice a hp gain...and hope to get it dynoed soon.
