• Has anyone noticed this besides me?

Well, I have heard a few V6 f-body's with after market exhaust systems and some I like. Some I dislike just like everyone else. But has anyone noticed how much better the exhaust sounds in person and under a load (not a neutral rev)? Rather than what you hear it in a sound clip over the net. I mean maybe its just me but I have heard some sound clips even supposedly "good quality" clips and they NEVER sound as good. The other is how much different it sounds when under a load. I mean 10 time better than a neutral rev in my opinion. What about you guys?

I believe it sounds better because theres more exhaust gas going through tghe pipes....the reason hondas and such get that high pitched noise...because they dont displace enough air....try holding your brakes for a bit a revving it to 2grand....sounds nice...not good for the tranny though

Yeah, I notice this too. If I rev it past 4000 it gets kinda raspy but under load I can wind it out to 6000 and it just gets better an better.

The reason why hondas sound rice is the same reason we have rasp at idle revs, not enough exhaust flow to fill the exhaust. The empty parts of the exhaust vibrate and you get that awful tinny sound. But you right under a load they sound sick as phuck.

BTW: if you dont have a cutout your cheating yourself, 60 bucks and you will turn every head (including cops so be careful)

They sound better under load because the RPM don't drop as fast as with a neutral rev: the raspy sound comes from dropping RPM real fast in the same gear as well as building RPM real fast. My car sounds awesome when its under load, but not revving from neutral.
