Is there a good reason why they have different part numbers for 93-95, 96-97, and 98-02 for the Z28 muffler? Is there any difference between the different years for the Z28 Muffler?

The Camaro parts manual has sections for 98-02 single V8 exhausts, 98 Y87, and 99 dual V8, then jumps to other stuff.
