I want to run true duals but I dont have a lot of know how in this field. first off can it be done or is there anyone with them. and what would be the best way to go. Ive got a buddy that does custom mandrel bends but I dont want to let him talk me into anything (cant trust mechanics in this military town)
It can be done but I heard it sounds like ****. Never heard it before though so I couldn't tell you for sure.

I have a true dual setup I built, and I personally think it sounds better than other exhaust I have had or heard, Which includes the 2.5 flowmaster, and the 3inch magnaflow, I have had both of those with headers and a highflow cat. I have also heard the loudmouth and a borla on a v6.My 2 cents say that the flowmaster 2.5 sounds the best, w borla next then loudmouth ,then magnaflow. I am considering the idle tone, and how they sound when you rev the motor and the level of rasp. I have a few pics of my exhaust, and this weekend after I get back from the track I'm going to upload them on to my cardomain site. I will post the sounds and pic's if someone can give me a techinal hand.

the PANHARD ROD RELOCATION KIT from BMR would allow you to actually run the piping to the back of the car if that is important to you. You can also get some chambered exhaust pipe to use as either you main muffler system or as a little extra (Chambered exhaust pipe can be found here http://www.torquetechexh.com/powersticks.htm ). The most important thing is picking the right size for the piping. I personally thing dual 2"-2.5" is what you need to be looking at.

dont just "settle" for the borla. look around, find out what worked best for people. what do u plan on doin in the future? im now running FIPK with cold air scoop, pacesetter headers to 3 inch cat, and a 3 inch catback from there witha flowmaster dual outlet. now, i cant let my car breath more then that unless i put a small little fan in there or s/c or somthin. the car sounds great, i got way more top end. plus now that its a 3 inch, i left myself with more options for the future.
v8 swap
turbo
s/c
nitrous
i was going to go with dual, a buddy of mine did a full custom stainless dual setup on his 2000 z28, **** sounds rediculous, but in a good way... ****in is loud, MEAN sounding and looks nice under the car. but i mean ****, we have 3.8's they say with 3 inch im too big, so ask around or read up around here, dont settle for somthing, always do your research, this is the 3rd exhaust ive had, and i love this setup, came out the best then the others. for me at least
Robafb Id like to see that setup 2. yeah chris I know Ive actually spent countless hours lookin at different exhausts. later down the like Im thinkin of doing a V8 swap, but thats only if they dont make the 07 camaro. and ater i finished my engine work I wanted to add a Panhard Rod, trailing arms, etc. but would it fit with the extra pipes from a true dual??
by the way nice camaro.
if you got the relocation kit then yes. i made the mistake tho of choosing 3 inch tips along with my exaust but now that i put the eibach prokit, they hit either hit the ground, or move around to much and make noise, so yesterday i cut them off. lower your car first, do your suspension, then get into power.
suspension is like hp, when i did mine, i have fun with vettes in traffic. but then when we go straight no comparison. but before i did my suspension, me and anycar going through traffic at high speeds, it wasnt happening, i would damn near kill myself if i tried. so just do your research and see what you should do first. ever think about your brakes? cant go fast if you cant stop...
aw yeah Im a break freak I had a 99 grand am that I spent 4yr working on. had it to where it toped out at 162. and I also survived a car wreck cause the stock brakes didnt cut it. I got the brembo kit now. but U think I should do my suspension first before I do enginework. so should my exhaust wait to? if so Ill just put on the pacesetter headers.(Unless U can think of something better)Theres too many options in cars I work on missiles I just use what the gov. gives me
IMO, intake and exhaust are fine to do as long as you dont go too custom. If you go custom i would recomend doing your suspension first so you know what all you have in the way of the exhaust. To start off you suspension i would do it in this order Tires, shocks and springs, sfc's and strut bar, lower control arms and relocation brackets, panhard bar, torque arm, then front control arms.

no exactly, if your thinking springs, think shocks, if ur thinkin both those, u better get the adj panhard bar, ur sway bars are going to suck, so upgrade those, i did all that and strut tower brace(first mod DEFINITLY GET IT), if you dont get the adj panhard bar when u lower ur car, ur rear end will sit to the left or right about 2 inches, mine did, i had the bar, but was going to put it on the next day, said f-that cus my rear end was messed up.
be ready with those headers, after i put them on, for the first month i couldnt drive the damn thing, broken header bolt, bolts coming lose, spark plug wires burning up, had to buy sleeves, pull the engine to take out the bolt, and replaced one msd wire.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
