You CAN do it alone. After doing it (with help from my dad) I could do it alone...but it would take a LONG time I'm sure. But as long as oyu know what you're doing you can do it. But you will get really bored doing it alone anyway...just have someone hang around to talk to atleast or hold things (which occasionally makes things easier). Make sure you start friday though...cause you probably wont be done until sunday doing it alone Good luck...you'll love it once you're done.

We did it in my garage.
We have a plethora of tools, so that was not a problem at all.
We did not weld the it together...we used a 3inch band clamp and tightened the hell out of it.
It has done pretty well so far.
Their is a VERY minor leak at the cat.
I might have someone weld it, but it wouldnt really make much of a difference at all. As long as you get a REALLY good clamp and do it right its almost just as good.
PS: I see in your sig that you are switching to a holley filter over the k&n...why is that?

Oh, when my car was in the body shop a few months ago, I think the shop opened the whisper lid and the gasket was not sticking to the lid anymore. Some dirt was coming in thru that gasket for a month b4 I opened up the lid. I put some silicone as a temp fix. Holley requires no gasket....1999 Pewter Camaro M5
Y87 Performance Package, Sport Appearance Package, Diamond Clears
Factory SS Hood, Free Ram Air Mod, Whisper Lid w/ K&N Air Filter
CarSound Cat 94009, B&B Tri-Flo w/ Quad Tips
BMR SFC, BMR STB, KVR Blank Rotors, Hawk HPS Pads
Black Painted Calipers w/ CAMARO Decal, 245/50 Dunlop SP Sport 5000
20% Rear 35% Side Tint, Red Reflective Inlays, Invincishield
Young girls avert their eyes, weak men tremble, Ford dealers faint.

sounds good thor. when i finished installing my headers.. i gave myself a day to enjoy the sound of open y pipe.. then i drove down to the shop, got harrassed and followed by the police, then the shop welded the y pipe to the cat.
when installing, there arent any accessories in the way really. take your time and look at things from all angles.. you'll come to realize that on the drivers side, its easier from up top.. and passanger side its easier from underneith.
The EGR tube is definately a hit or miss deal. I hit it good. but right after i finished bolting it down.. the tube cracked. so i got that egr block off plate and screwed that **** down to it. For a gasket for the EGR blockoff plate, i used 4ply thickness of HEAVY DUTY aluminum foil, with a thin layer of ultra copper also. No leaks from there.
Have fun guys..
Heat shields suck
when i did mine. me and my friend did it in 8 hours.. with at least 2 hours in breaks. i was under the car working on the passanger side, he was up top working on the drivers side. it goes a lot smoother this way.96 Camaro M5.
