I have a 2002 camaro which I just installed a K&N FIPK on. I was wondering what, if any benefits there are to removing the MAF screen.

The purpose of that screen is to decrease the turbulence of the air entering the TB so that the MAF can read the airflow accurately.
I've also heard that it will hurt an A4 more that it would/might hurt an M5. So I'd recommend keeping it in.
I ran with and without mine for a while, and there's really no noticeable power difference. So I'd say just leave it in...just in case...1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro
Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH. Speaking of throttle bodies...Where is the throttle cable located on the 3800? On the LS1, it is very easy to locate right at the throttle body, but I have looked all over the V6, and I can't find a cable of any sort. Is it a totally different throttle system, or am i just blind?2002 Camaro A4
K&N FIPK
Ravin exhaust
15.64 @ 90.11 MPH

_ _ ___________________ _ _
2004 Quicksilver/Black GTO M6
Stock except !CAGS

you don't have a throttle cable because yours is a 2002 and as of 1999 they are electronically controlled ;)\'99 SSM Camaro V6 M5
(mod list on cardomain site; too long to list here)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/v6cam99
