Ya, FINALLY took my car to an exhaust shop to get this rattle I've had for...2 YEARS...checked out. So, it turns out a piece of the honeycomb in the cat busted loose and was the culprit of said ANNOYING rattle...SO, new cat time. After all said and done, I paid about $375. How much did everyone else pay for a new cat installed? Also, the car seems a bit peppier, but also a bit raspier, which will prolly go away a little once it's burned in. Oh and, NO MORE FRIGGEN RATTLE!!!!!

you got a new pussy?
oh, it must be a golden pussy cause $375 is WAY overpriced, sorry.
yes, your stock cat was probably making alot of backpressure.
you coulda bought a catco cat (which is HIGH-FLOW) for $60(shipped-brand-new) from Summit.
install should only be like a max of $35!
total: max of $100!
wait, you are in cali, you all have HIGH restrictions so you might not be able to have such a high-flow cat. you might be limited to regular cats which are probably cheaper.2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! does anyone know what kinda aftermarket cat i can get in California? if any? iv been through this on a couple other posts, the magnaflow (car-sound) cat is OBDII compliant, but its not 3 stage and is therefore not legal in CA..any ideas/suggestions?

I forgot to mention about $70 of the $375 was a diagnostic to see what the rattle was and check out everything exhaust related..02's etc. Also, It's a top of the line stock replacement not high-flow. Like there is much of a difference anyway...1..2 hp? lol... And gotta remember, I live in the bay area of California, things are more expensive out here. Average mechanic charges like $75-100 an hour labor.
