K, Like to make it quick. The reason it doesnt work on Pre 98 Is because the MAF screen straitens air out. ( its coming in at an angle ) BUT on the newer Fbodies, Air comes strait in threw the BBM ram air type intake. The air is strait, so it doesnt need the screen. That is the basic Explination, it should increase power for 98 + should decrease for 97-
