• Cat back

Alright this is just a purely hypothetical situation as of now because I have no money to spend on my car right now and I probably wont for a while. But I was just curious as to a couple different setups. I want to get either a spintech or a dynomax exhaust. Are these systems catbacks or are they just mufflers? If Im gonna put a new exhaust on the camaro Im gonna do it right cause Im sick of this ricer crap comin out the back of my car with my Flows. I know a lot of people have Dynomax and have said nothin but good about it. Also I heard that clip of that Fiero and it sounds dang sweet for a 2.8. Im just lookin for a good systen that will give me great performance without haveing to be embarrased that my Camaro sounds like a Civic once I rev it past 3K. Soundclips would be great too!!!

I'm pretty sure u can make a catback from any exhaust.

Go to an exhaust shop (i think most of them have dynomax in stock from what i hear) and they'll just get some exhaust tubbing and run a catback for ya.

Not hard to do. I think someone posted a little bit ago about the dynomax saying it was only gonna cost him like $212 or something to run a cat back from a muffler shop, do a search in the gen tech section.

Also check out some sites so see if dynomax sells a catback, i bet they do, most muffler's sell the catbacks.

I dont have the dynomax, im stuck w/ my flow's also but im happy w/ it, sounds kinda ricey at high rpms, but what are u gonna do ran me less than $300 for the catback system installed.

But ya, dynomax probably has a catback, if not a muffler shop will make u a custom setup.

I've emailed Dynomax about cat-backs for the newer V6 F-bodies, and the response I've gotten says they don't make them. However, you can still get a muffler shop to bend you an I-pipe for your setup. Also, I know that one of our members *COUGH* Bene *COUGH* got a 3" I-pipe from Dynomax to make his system a true 3" cat-back setup. Best bet is to either call around or email whoever has what you're interested in and tell them what you want.

Dynomax do make catbacks for 98 and up cars, but they're supppose to be for the V8s. It will still fit on a V6. They're a 3" setup.

I have a 3inch catback with spintech muffler. The pipes had to be custom bent. Any good exhaust shop should be able to do it for you.

zlightning how do you like that carsound cat? did it set anything apart from all the rest of them, ie, quality, sound, flow rates, etc.?
