How much additional horsepower does the whisper air lid, slp CAI, and air filter give out? Saw a package on lmperformance.com

10 - 15rwhp tops.

actually about maybe 5 if your lucky to the wheels for just a cai. if you got the cai headers and catback that would be about 15 rwhp

better air intake system (cold air and smooth bellows with fancy air filter (k and n)) is most likly no more than 5 hp gain. It does open up the throttle response a bit. the car seems to be more responsive with cold/smooth air induction. In other words...when my car was stock it ok to drive but it only 'lit up' when the throttle was mashed. with the cold air induction and smooth bellows it seemed peppier at partial throttle but overall it did not 'transform' the engine into some kind of beast.

cold air/ smooth air is also a supporting mod. it will allow greater airflow for future mods.

your biggest bang for the buck on your 1999 car is most likely dumping the log manifolds for headers. connect those to a high performance cat and cat back and your engine will breath a lot better. do some free cold air/smooth bellows/smooth lid and you should notice a gain in power.

so i overestimated...but i thought a whisper lid, K&N filter and a ram air would yield more.
