  • Exhaust system hangers

I have deamed that my ghetto rigged exhaust hangers should be replaced by decent hangers. The ones I have right now are completely solid, and so I'd rather have some with rubber isolators in them. I was lookign around, and i think the ones at JC Whitney were about the best I could find...

At any rate, what I want to know is who here has bought exhaust hangers? Probably most of the people on this site either got decent ones with their catbacks or had their shop rig something up. I'm leaning towards buying the ones in the link, but I am concerned that I might have to weld them on... I'd rather be able to use a bolt to mount them on the frame, just so I could get away with installing them myself. So... if you bought hangers that bolt on, or know a place where I can get them besides a muffler shop, speak up.

    Thanks

Ive used those before and they work very well.

you bolt them to the frame and tack weld them to the pipe.

Cool... unless I am looking at them wrong, I will probably just use clamps to attach them to the pipe (my current setup uses clamps).

... you can just weld your own muffler hangers to the muffler.. and use the stock bushing and chassis hanger locations...

          thats what i do..

I think it ended up on the floor of the muffler shop when I got the muffler put on originally.
