• whisper lid, K&N, and CAI install done.

Just thought this would be a nice quick FYI on the whisper pack.

Installed the whisper C.A.I., K&N filter charger, and Whisper lid. Car has some more pic up but nothing drastic.

I noticed that with the rubber strip in place. Meaning it only pulls air from the C.A.I. duct work there was almost no difference.

However, with out the tube it seems to have quite a bit more pick up, and the tone changes on the exhaust a bit.

Install was a bit of a pain. Just because the parts did not fit exactly and so it was hard to line up bolt holes, etc.

Hope that little info helps anyone considering the same induction set up. ;)

Have you done exhaust work too? I'm wondering if I'd have more gain out of it since I have exhaust work done to the RS. I'm thinking about ordering the whisper pack, but only if its a good mod.

back when i had the stock exhaust, i had the whisper lid, the cut the bottom out of your airbox ram air, and K&N filter, and it changed the note of the stock exhaust alot... and yes with a modified exhaust you will see better gains, because these two components compliment each other...

Yes, I have a SLP stainless cat back. I figure at the least doing this mod can't hurt.

I got this in a package deal from T-bryne.

          :D

I installed the SLP CAI, K&N, and Whisper Lid about 4 months ago. I noticed most of my gains when accelerating from like 45-70+

That appears to be what most people experience too. Makes sense too since the air will be moving into the car quicker at 45 than from a dead stop.
