I was talking to my dad about how I can get more power. We're going to P&P the intake manifolds. He thought of making a plate for the throttle body to fit. Could this affect my idle? Or would the idle control make up for it?

I think you have a great idea with the plate, although would it be easier to acctually bore the upper manifold to fit the 5.7 TB in it? we are trying too get an intake ready for production right now that will have the design you want. tiago and i are both running this design and it works very well. all you have too do is get the tb, get the upper intake that is modified for the tb, gaskets, and an lt1 style throttle cable. the only fabbing that needs too be done is for the bracket for the cable. we will be selling these soon if you are interested!!boost, you got it???

Making a plate without boring out the upper intake manifold would be kind of pointless I would think, it'd be no different then stock...as.... you'll let more air get to the manifold because of the bigger throttle body, but once it gets to where it bottlenecks to the stock upper intake manifold, the same result as stock would happen?
