  • So...does EVERYONE have a leaking EGR with headers?

I sure hope so or else how do i block it? None of the sealent works or anything and i can still feel exhaust coming from there, its extremely annoying and taking off performance. Also, the EGR block off has been proven a waste of time as well, so, unless you are ticking, how did you get rid of it?

not a single leak. i'm not sure people have this problem.

don't use sealant. if you have to use anything, use a piece of gasket paper and cut it to fit. then buy your own hardware with a hardened bolt, lock washer, and nut and tighten that thing down as much as you can.

yea i put the EGR block off plate on and it leaked even worse, i mean come on, the plate turns with the bolt when u tighten it. Unless theres a way to stop that from happening i dont see how i could get that plate to work.

Oh and matt even said that he tried using a gasket that he cut perfect and it caught on fire.

I have pacesetters and mine leaks a very tiny bit. you can hear it sometimes making the ticking noise in 3rd, under WOT. but its faint and over engine and exhaust its lost to most ears.

well you guys with faint leaks consider yourselfs lucky lol, but jimmy *knock on wood* i put that RTV on there last week exactly, and i let it dry for the 24 hours plus some and been holding up. I suggest trying that instead of globbing the whole tube on then running it right after like you did that one day hah.
